The Firm · Our Approach

Strategic planning. Tactical execution.
Continuous analysis.

Three disciplines that make consulting engagements actually deliver, instead of just running out the clock.

Define, Design, and Pre-Launch move your business into position during the first 45 days. Deploy runs the tactical execution monthly. F.O.C.U.S.+™ sharpens the operational edge across every quarter of the engagement.

01 Why methodology matters

The first six months you pay a consultant is usually spent teaching them your business.

Most consultants show up, ask a lot of questions, disappear for weeks, and eventually deliver a slide deck that recycles what you already knew. Six months in, they finally understand your business well enough to start being useful, and now the engagement is halfway through the budget.

A real methodology solves that problem before it starts. When we walk into your engagement, we already know how we work. That means the first 45 days are spent understanding your business specifically, not learning how a consulting engagement is supposed to run.

The methodology is what makes the difference between a consultant who bills for their learning curve and a firm that hits the ground running because the process is already built.

Methodology is not overhead. It is the reason your engagement produces real results in Month 3 instead of Month 9.

02 Strategic Planning

Define. Design. Pre-Launch.

The first 45 days are spent doing the strategic homework that makes the next twelve months actually work. All three phases combine to prepare tactical execution, coordinated, sequenced, and calibrated to your specific business.

D

Define

What we do
  • Comprehensive current-state assessment
  • Market analysis of your service area
  • Competitive intelligence and SWOT
  • Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) definition
  • Digital footprint and AI search audits
  • Gap analysis against your growth goals
What’s in it for you Clarity on what’s actually broken versus what feels broken. Honest numbers on where you stand. No more guessing what to fix first.
D

Design

What we do
  • Blueprint for the twelve-month engagement
  • Territory heat mapping and cluster analysis
  • Key Decision-Maker (KDM) list build
  • Program vendor network target list
  • Bench specialist matching to your engagement
  • Milestone-based execution plan
What’s in it for you A real plan, not a report. Measurable milestones you can track. The right bench specialists lined up before we start, not scrambled together mid-engagement.
P

Pre-Launch

What we do
  • Digital Vendor Packet build
  • Program submission preparation (Refer-ERL)
  • Email and LinkedIn outreach content build
  • Client asset onboarding
  • Event calendar curation
  • Tactical execution roadmap finalized
What’s in it for you When Day 45 hits, everything is ready to launch. No more “we’ll figure it out as we go.” The tactical execution is prepared, tested, and ready to run.

All three phases combined are what make the next twelve months work. Define discovers, Design plans, Pre-Launch prepares. When we hit Day 45, we’re not starting, we’re executing.

03 Ongoing Execution

Deploy. Then F.O.C.U.S.+ to sharpen it.

Deploy is the tactical execution phase. Everything we prepared during Setup goes live and stays live. Weekly outreach campaigns run. Vendor program submissions land. Program relationships develop. Intelligence updates flow. Your business begins to feel the difference.

Around Day 90, once we have real operating data from the engagement, we begin the deeper analysis work. That’s where F.O.C.U.S.+™ comes in. Six pillars of ongoing operational analysis, applied continuously across the engagement, keeping the work sharp and the strategy honest.

The F.O.C.U.S.+™ Analysis Methodology · What’s in it for you
F

Focus Strategy

Areas of impact

Strategic priority review, distraction elimination, opportunity prioritization.

What’s in it for you

You stop chasing what was never going to move the needle. Your team knows what actually matters. You wake up focused, not overwhelmed.

O

Optimize Operations

Areas of impact

Process efficiency, bottleneck identification, workflow redesign, system integration.

What’s in it for you

You know what’s broken versus what’s fine. You fix bottlenecks before they cost you money. Your operations scale with your growth instead of buckling under it.

C

Capture Market Share

Areas of impact

Competitive positioning, market expansion opportunities, program network penetration.

What’s in it for you

You know where you can grow. You spot new market opportunities before your competitors. You compete on value, not on price.

U

Unify Resources

Areas of impact

Team alignment, tool consolidation, cross-functional coordination, investment prioritization.

What’s in it for you

Your team, tools, and processes actually work together instead of against each other. You waste less time on friction. Your investments produce more.

S

Scale Systematically

Areas of impact

Capacity planning, growth readiness, replicable systems, sustainable expansion.

What’s in it for you

You know what will break if you grow 2x, 3x, or 10x, and you build the capacity before you need it. Scale doesn’t kill your business, it compounds it.

+

Client Specifics

Areas of impact

Custom work unique to your business, industry, and situation. No two engagements are identical.

What’s in it for you

The work fits your business, not a consulting template. You get the customization that off-the-shelf firms can’t offer because you’re not a case study to us.

04 One Integrated Engagement

What your first year will look like.

Every engagement is structured the same way, so you know exactly what to expect from Day 1 through Month 12. The Setup Phase front-loads the strategic work in the first 45 days. Monthly Engagement runs the tactical execution and continuous analysis for the remainder of the year. Month 12 is a comprehensive review that resets the plan for year two.

06 How to start

The methodology starts the day we shake hands.

You don’t have to know what you need first. That’s literally what the Setup Phase is designed to figure out. The only decision you need to make right now is whether we’re the right firm to walk with you.

Step 01

Strategic conversation

Book a fifteen-minute call with Jim. Tell us what’s happening in your business right now. We listen, we ask real questions, and we give you an honest read on whether we’re a fit.

Step 02

Setup Phase begins

If we’re a fit and we execute the Strategic Advisory Services Agreement, the Setup Phase begins within 7 days. All the audits, research, and planning work runs across the first 45 days.

Step 03

Monthly Engagement runs

Day 45 forward, tactical execution runs continuously. F.O.C.U.S.+ analysis kicks in Day 90. Month 12 brings the comprehensive review. Year two adapts from there.

The Approach Behind the Work

Methodology exists to serve your outcomes.

Define, Design, and Pre-Launch prepare the ground. Deploy runs the execution. F.O.C.U.S.+ keeps sharpening the edge. Together, they turn twelve months of consulting into twelve months of compounding enterprise value, which is the only kind that is still there when you decide to step back.

That’s not process for process’s sake. That is what a real firm does when it takes your engagement seriously.
