Verisk, a data analytics and technology provider to the global insurance, reinsurance and insurance-linked securities (ILS) industry, has announced the promotion of Harry White to lead its Property Claim Services (PCS) unit.

harry-white-verisk-pcs-article-imgWhite became PCS’ Head of Commercial Strategy in 2025, moving across from Verisk’s catastrophe risk modelling unit where he worked closely with ILS markets and was deeply involved in catastrophe bond work at the company.

The PCS business unit of Verisk provides independent industry-loss estimates for both catastrophe and non-catastrophe events around the world and its data services are utilised to support the triggers of many catastrophe bonds and industry-loss warranty (ILW) arrangements.

As Head of PCS, White will now lead the business unit as it continues to deliver catastrophe loss information to support clients and transactional needs, while also being tasked with evolving its capabilities across natural and specialty catastrophe events.

“Harry brings deep knowledge of financial markets and a strong understanding of how insurers and bond market participants use risk analytics to assess and manage risk,” explained Rob Newbold, president, Verisk Catastrophe and Risk Solutions.

“His experience, client relationships and understanding of the reinsurance and ILS markets position him to lead PCS with clarity and momentum as the business enters its next phase of growth and innovation.”

White has now worked at Verisk for 16 years, with 14 of that spent at Verisk and its AIR Worldwide risk modelling unit, in roles focused on catastrophe bonds and the insurance-linked securities (ILS) market, followed by the last almost two years working as the commercial lead at PCS.

“PCS has earned the trust of global insurers, reinsurers and capital market participants by delivering timely, credible catastrophe loss information,” White commented. “I’m excited to build on that foundation as we continue advancing the data and analytics that help the market make more confident decisions and better understand the impact of catastrophic events.”

White started his first role at AIR Worldwide in 2010 in business development, helping clients across the reinsurance market, including ILS funds, adopt the AIR catastrophe risk models.

In 2016 his role became focused solely on ILS securities at AIR and then Verisk, working on catastrophe bond risk analysis reports, offering circular information, and assisting with ILS related RFP’s and other liaison with ILS fund managers regarding the AIR model suite.

White became a Senior Manager for the Verisk Extreme Event Solutions team, playing a leading role in much of the cat bond and ILS related work and business development, prior to his moving to PCS.

Harry White is speaking at our Artemis London 2026 conference on September 1st.

Read a recent interview with Harry White, where he discussed the fact severe thunderstorm losses are a critical factor for ILS markets to consider, given the growing prevalence of the peril.
